Between Need and Want

Ah, the things we do in the name of “research and development”. I’m in the firearms business. We make specialized accessories for firearms. Making sure that they work is pretty important. Now, to be candid, nobody outside of military and law enforcement has a true need for a belt-fed automatic weapon. One like the M249 SAW‘s, pictured above. But there sure is an awful lot of want involved and, sometimes, want is plenty. I’ll be furthering our R&D efforts with a shiny new edition of this weapon. I promise not to have too much fun.

To be candid, everybody outside of military/LE has a need for true auto and quite a few belts of AP. The military/LE are appointed the privilege of serving the people, whose inalienable right shall not be infringed.

Just because the Citizen wants to pay a few extra dollars in taxes and have a subcontractor assist him in maintaining his essential Liberty doesn’t mean the Citizen is incapable of doing his own work. And the best tools to complete that job belong first to him most deeply affected. Liberty and her tools, dear smithy, are not proprietary.
