Katrina victims believe that the federal government owes them over damage from the failure of levees and flood walls following the Aug. 29, 2005, hurricane. There’s almost half a million claims going on right now. 247 for at least $1 billion apiece and one for just over $3 QUADRILLION.

Just so I get this straight. Katrina victims want the government to pay for failure to protect them from their own stupidity (living in a flood zone that is actually below sea level, having no insurance, etc.). Or am I missing something?
