San Diego Fires

The San Diego fires are affecting 1,000’s of lives and inflicting damages well over a $1 billion. That’s a lot of damage and misery. So, of course, the blame game has begun:

Blame Global Warming.

Blame the Environmental Pressure Groups forbidding California homeowners from clearing flammable brush around their land.

Blame Al Quaeda

Blame the gays.

Blame the people who hate America.

Blame Iraq.

Blame the bureaucracy.

Blame the “litigious environmentalists” for “standing in the way” of Bush’s Healthy Forests Initiative (HFI).

A tip of the hat to the Cynical One… Who/what else can be blamed for this?

    Blame Bush
    Blame County Supervisors
    Blame Schwarzenegger
    Blame Blackwater
    Blame The Sierra Club
    Blame yourself
    Blame the homeowners
    Blame Shelley Yates!?

This is just too easy 🙂

What will be interesting is where the blame falls officially. Both Republican and Democrat districts are burning, so no easy partisanship this time, eh?

I’ll blame the folks with semi-auto .50BMG rifles shooting the firefighting aircraft out of the sky… No, wait. .50’s are outlawed in California. Maybe it was somebody who was smoking a cigarette that was standing the required distance away from the entrance of a building? Or maybe it was the Tri-Lateral Society or the Illuminati…?
