No Guns Or Smoking; S&M Toddlers OK

Some of the most unlikely attendees of Sunday’s kinky leather fetish festival were under four feet tall. Two-year-olds Zola and Veronica Kruschel waddled through Folsom Street Fair amidst strangers in fishnets and leather crotch pouches, semi and fully nude men. The twin girls who were also dressed for the event wore identical lace blouses, floral bonnets and black leather collars purchased from a pet store. Fathers Gary Beuschel and John Kruse watched over them closely. They were proud to show the twins off.

It’s not funny. It’s not cute. And it will probably set gay couple adoption of children back a few thousand years. But it is California. “It’s for the children” takes on a whole new meaning.

Do Not Call List

All of my phone numbers are on the Do Not Call list. That said, I still get a few annoying telemarketing calls. I must say… this little skit makes me want to give it a try…

I’m An American, Dammit!

Let me get this off my chest: I think that what is going on in the Darfur/Sudan region is absolutely horrible. “All that is necessary for for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” The world stood around and watched Hitler decimate a large chunk of the population and then realized that it might not be right. The tragedy in Darfur is no less significant. Former President Carter got in a shouting match Wednesday with Sudanese security officials who blocked him from a town in Darfur. He was trying to visit an area that wasn’t on the agenda. The local security tried to stop him and Carter shouted “We’re going to anyway!”, telling security officers they didn’t have the authority to stop him.

Why don’t they have the authority to do just that? Yes, Carter was there as an envoy of peace, along with Desmond Tutu. But was this 83 year old being a bit too cavalier with his own status? Could his actions jeopardized the whole process? Electric Venom Bite Fest readers are urged to comment on this situation.
