Hard Drive Lust

Seagate thinks that it will be able to offer a 300TB hard drive by 2010. That’s TERAbyte. Not gigabyte or megabyte. At the end of 2005, the Library of Congress had collected around 40 terabytes of data. Put another way, 300TB is a metric butt load of data. I’m betting that folks will still forget to back up their data…
