Stalin was Georgian Orthodox… Lenin was Russian Orthodox… nice try. @Alex: if you’re trying to argue that the Confederate Flag is an acceptable symbol because the crimes committed under the Stars and Stripes were more egregious than those committed by the Confederate States, you have some work to do. Just because A was worse than B doesn’t make B okay. The North was fighting to end a legacy of political torpor over the issue of slavery (an institution symbolized by the Confederate Flag). The “Stars and Bars” are no less a hate symbol than the institution itself, the swastika, 88, or the Roman Salute. To argue that the Civil War was fought over taxes and constitutional interpretation is absurd. It was an issue of slavery from the start. Slavery WAS the source of political tension all throughout the 1850′s and southern leaders threatened secession if Lincoln (an abolitionist) was elected. Southern historical revisionists have been trying ever since to improve the image of the Confederacy by attempting to lesson the role slavery played in the war. Don’t be naïve… the war was over slavery and the Confederate Flag is absolutely a hate symbol. The fact that you wont ever find an African American civil rights activist flying the Stars and Bars is pretty indicative of that. Educate yourself.

The confederate flag represents individual states rights against a overbearing federal government. Slavery was written into the United States Constitution, and upheld by the US Supreme Court. President Lincoln supported passage of the Corwin Amendment to keep slavery legal.

Thank God for Google and whoever did this blog. I just hit the buy it now on a .50 BMG for about 4 thousand dollars with these people. I did a search for their web site because I was also going to buy a scope for the rifle and discovered this blog. Now it makes sense that they had no “real pictures” or this item. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=252625442 and they were vague about answering questions about the weapon. I asked them to send me photos etc. with no such luck. They kept saying it’s new in the box, yea back at the manufactures warehouse. Anyway I wrote them and gave them the link to this blog and asked them to forget they knew me. I would not leave negative feedback and suggest they do the same. Hope it turns out that way. Your right about who’s running things now
