I’ve blitched about this before. But I read a post over at Electric Venom that just got me all pissed about the situation all over again (thanks VK). Heely are those misbegotten shoes with the wheels in the heels. They are designed for OUTDOOR use. Using them indoors, like in grocery stores, restaurants, shopping malls, etc. is an accident waiting to happen. And it also demonstrates that the idiot kid is being raised (or not being raised) by idiot parents. Forget the whole safety issue for a moment. When I’m trying to have a nice dinner with my wife at the local white tableclot joint and am staring all romantic like into her eyes… the last thing I want to deal with is some heathen child skating all over the place. Fair warning: you skate around in Heelys near me, there’s a good chance that I’m gonna trip you.
