Microsoft has tacitly acknowledged that the approach described in this My Digital Life blog post works and that they do not have a fix for it. The method involves emulating the BIOS of an OEM brand PC to fool the Microsoft Activation process into thinking that activation is not necessary. The approach requires a little bit of effort, but is quite doable. My only question is why?
